Techtiq Services

For our clients in Al Furjan community in Dubai for instance there’s nothing more annoying than having to deal with repeated maintenance jobs such as plumbing and drainage problems that they can’t fix.

Unfortunately, Dubai is full of good-looking gentlemen with well-equipped toolboxes but being so green when it comes to maintenance, only for residents to figure it out after they have caused huge damages in their premises.

But also, clients are not to blame because generally they have no clue about maintenance reason why at Techtiq we believe part of our job is to educate them.

Below are listed some regular issues and ideas about them :

1. No water pressures

Sometimes you have to spend a minimum of 20 minutes taking a shower just to wash all of your shampoos out and it could be frustrating especially with the extra warm water in Dubai summer. Well, the poor water pressure would have to be the blame here. Not only would it waste your time, but it could also increase your water bill.

There might be a small clog in the aerator of your faucet that is further preventing the water from flowing fully. Poking through the aerator could help loosen up the blockage, but it is not that simple and you might just end up damaging it more. A call to a qualified plumber would be the right thing to do at this point if you are not familiar with this type of DIY.

2. Back-flow issues

If your sink is having this serious back-flow water springing out, it could be super frustrating. Not only it is wasting your water and hiking up your water bill, but it is also going onto your floor furnishing which you have spent quite a bit of money on. And sometimes it even stinks because it’s sewer water that is coming out. On top of that adding the unpleasant water scramping after each use of the kitchen. It’s quite irritating especially for a big families.

The main reason why this happens would have to be the water pressure that drops for no reason, this would reverse the downward flow of the water.

First thing to do is to close the main water valve and then resolve the problem.

3. Gurgling water

When you are taking a shower, do you notice that your toilet is gurgling? When this happens, it could be very hard to tell what the root of this problem is, even though you know that there is something wrong. The gurgling usually happens when there is water that is trapped in your faucet while your drain is clogged, which is why you need to call a plumber to tackle this problem.

If you notice this happening, it is best to cut off the water supply before calling a maintenance team so you would not waste your water and the problem would not worsen.

4. No water available

One day you wake up and are surprised that there is no more water coming out of your faucet but you are sure that you paid your water bill. That might not be the problem at all, so you do not have to worry, sometimes it is a more serious plumbing problem. There could be a few reasons why this is happening, like a leak or an undiscovered blockage.

A general plumbing inspection is needed because most of your plumbing is actually hidden behind your walls or under your

house, so you need to be able to tell and help out with the problem.

5. Dirty water Coming from the faucet

If it is a plumbing issue, brown water may be caused by rusty iron piping. This will need replacing. It might also be from the water tank or result from corrosion inside an old hot water system.

If it is, the brown water will come only from the hot water tap. In any case, get the unit properly checked by a professional plumber.

At Techtiq we give a major importance to site inspection for any sort of complaints, reason why each inspection is conducted by at least an engineer in the field whether its MEP or Civils.
